What is BRC-20?
Introduced for the first time in March 2023 by an anonymous developer named Domo, BRC-20 is the new token standard based on Bitcoin. It is designed for developers to create and transfer fungible tokens using the Ordinals protocol. Interestingly, unlike Ethereum, the BRC-20 token standard does not make use of smart contracts.
