Venture capitalists expect to invest around $12 billion in crypto projects by 2024
PitchBook estimates that venture capitalists are expected to invest about $1.2 billion in cryptocurrency projects by 2024. While in previous bull markets, venture capitalists supported application-layer startups such as Coinbase, the research firm says supporters will return to basics this year. Robert Le, a cryptocurrency analyst at PitchBook, said we haven't seen any applications get such large investments this cycle. Instead, venture capital firms are focusing on infrastructure projects. In the first quarter, venture capital in the cryptocurrency field increased by 40% from the previous quarter to $2.4 billion.
